Edmund Optics opens Silicon Valley office

Edmund Optics (EO) opens a new office in Silicon Valley. The location will house business development, sales and applications engineering dedicated to servicing the unique engineering and product development needs of the region. The EO Silicon Valley office will also have a state-of-the-art lab for testing and system development, and a classroom for customers attending EO’s regularly scheduled training courses. The new office is led by William (Bill) Dover, Director of Business Development, Edmund Optics, who has been with the company since 2000. A veteran of the photonics and optics industries, Dover has extensive experience in technical sales, applications and business development, program management, and project engineering in a career spanning more than 25 years.

“While semiconductors continue to be a driving force in Silicon Valley, this region has become an innovation hub for many industries including life sciences, biomedical, automotive and wearable technology,” says Greg Hollows, Director, Imaging Business Unit, Edmund Optics. “Our customer base continues to show strong growth because of the increasingly important role that optics plays in these applications. By opening this office, we’re ensuring that we can provide the highest caliber of support to our current and future partners in Silicon Valley while remaining at the forefront of optics technology.”
