Preferred partner for the perfect movement
The perfect movement is smooth, fast, precise and reliable. Stöber Antriebstechnik strives for innovative developments and top performance together with its customers and partners.

To this end, Stöber supplies system solutions for drives and automation. The drive systems developed and produced in-house are modular in design and freely scalable – for tailor-made, compact and powerful machine concepts and individual systems.
Stöber develops and produces precise, highly efficient drive components and systems, including gearboxes, motors, gear racks and drive controllers for custom solutions. They are used in various industries, including automation and robotics, as well as the plastics, packaging and machine tool industries. Stöber has 14 locations and 80 service partners in over 40 countries. In addition to its headquarters in Pforzheim, Germany, there are also production facilities in Hungary and the US. The family-owned company currently employs around 1,000 people worldwide.
Stöber is enthusiastic about current trends and technologies and supports you as a competent partner in achieving your goals.
This is also reflected in new product developments, such as the SX6 safety module, which expands the range of functions of the 6th generation drive controllers to include numerous safety functions. It is controlled via EtherCAT® (Fail Safe over EtherCAT, FSoE). The SX6 enables the conventional Safe Torque Off (STO), Safe Stop 1 (SS1) and Safe Stop 2 (SS2) stop functions.
A special highlight is that the STO function can be activated individually for each axis on multi-axis controllers. In addition, Safely-Limited Speed (SLS) and Safe Speed Range (SSR) ensure that the projected velocity limits are always adhered to. Safe Direction (SDI) monitors the direction of motion, while Safely-Limited Increment (SLI) limits the increment and Safe Operating Stop (SOS) ensures a safe standstill.

Stöber has further developed its KS right-angle servo gearbox and now offers it not only in two and three stages, but also in a single stage. The new series features robust bearing technology, high-quality gearing technology and very high torsional stiffness. This makes it perfect for demanding applications with high dynamics. Compared to the other variants, the new single-stage version enables higher output speeds, among other things. Users receive precise, low-backlash and maintenance-free solutions for highly dynamic requirements.
Stöber is expanding its gear rack portfolio with 2-metre versions. The choice is yours: either 0.5 m and 1 m with double the number of bores (spacing of just 62.5 mm) ensures increased contact pressure and generally eliminates the need for pinning. However, if required, this option is still available. If every second bore is used, the gear racks are fully compatible with standard commercially available systems. Or 2 m for long travel paths, perfect when it comes to efficiency and precision over long distances: fewer mounting points, minimal impact points and reduced pitch deviations. As usual, it is reliably fastened by the screws, while pinning is still possible as an option.
Greater efficiency, fewer breakdowns – with these goals in mind, Stöber continues to enhance its predictive maintenance. The drive specialists have also defined several expansion stages: they continuously monitor the drive train and derive maintenance recommendations based on the analysis of the relevant process and machine data. The possibilities range from analytical calculation models to AI-supported processes. Stöber is following an integrated solution strategy. This requires no external sensors or accessories and is accessible for a wide range of controllers.
