Configurable ring lights are now available
Edmund Optics is expanding its lighting portfolio for industrial machine vision with configurable Lumimax ring lights, which are available worldwide from stock
The modular system is designed to simplify the design of lighting solutions for various machine vision applications.
The ring lights are available in white, blue (470 nm), green (528 nm), red (625 nm), and NIR (850 nm) and provide stable, uniform illumination for various working distances and fields of view. Interchangeable lens arrays enable bright-field and dark-field illumination, while a dome attachment provides highly diffuse illumination for reflective or curved surfaces. A window kit with a diffuser and polarizer reduces glare and adjusts the contrast to meet specific inspection requirements.
Thanks to its configurability, a single light source can be adapted to changing inspection tasks, simplifying system configuration and reducing development and implementation times in industrial image processing.
