Changes in the Executive Board of Sick

Dr. Martin Krämer is leaving sensor manufacturer Sick on September 30. Nicole Kurek will join the Executive Board on July 1, 2022 and will be responsible for People & Culture.

Dr. Martin Krämer has been a member of the Executive Board since July 2012 and is responsible for Human Resources and Legal & Compliance. Dr. Krämer, who holds a doctorate in law, has devoted particular attention to the topics of continuing education and organizational development. He is now leaving the company after 23 years.

Nicole Kurek will take over as Executive Board member responsible for People & Culture from July 1, 2022. The qualified educational scientist has a Master’s degree from Saarland University and an MBA. Most recently, Nicole Kurek headed global talent and transformation management at the BMW Group.

Increase in sales in 2021

Sick's fiscal year 2021 recorded significant growth overall. The company achieved sales of just under 2 billion euros and incoming orders of 2.3 billion euros. Ebit amounted to 202 million euros and increased by 44 percent compared to the previous year.

In the major economies of the USA and China, Sick recorded sales growth of around 15 percent and 30 percent respectively. The number of employees increased by 5.6 percent to 11,022 at year-end 2021.
