Results of the IVSM Spring Meeting in Prague presented
The international standardization community for image processing drew a positive balance after the IVSM Spring Meeting in Prague

82 engineers worked in several committees on the further development of central interfaces and protocols, accompanied by discussions on the effects of the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
In the GenICam working group, SFNC 2.8 and GenDC 1.2 were released after several years of work. In parallel, future enhancements were prepared, including the Generic Feature Access API (GenFeA), optimizations of the GenApi reference implementation, SFNC enhancements with Emva-1288 integration for automated measurement data acquisition and improved GenICam Device Validation to increase interoperability.
CameraLinkHS announced version 1.3 with clearer handling of MPO-to-LC breakout cables and support for 32 bits per pixel. For Usb3 Vision, the focus was on possible extensions and adjustments to the compliance documentation. GigE Vision 3.0 and CoaXPress 3.0 were finalized for plugfests, including test runs with new 25 Gbps components.
Jiia presented two new standardization initiatives, LensConnect and Small Optical Connectors, which address optical interfaces in particular. The Future Standards Forum decided to update the G3 information brochure on CoaXPress 2.x, CoaXPress-over-Fiber and GigE Vision 3.0 as well as a major layout update for 2026.
The IVSM format is supported by the G3 Group, a network of the associations A3 (USA), Cmvu (China), Jiia (Japan), Emva (Europe) and Vdma (Germany), which coordinates the global harmonization of machine vision standards.
