AMS Osram Strengthens Its Core Semiconductor Business and Develops microLED Arrays for AR Glasses
The company reported revenue of 805 million euros and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 16.9% for the second quarter of 2026, reaching the upper end of its forecast

The core semiconductor portfolio grew by 13% year-over-year on a currency-adjusted basis. The company secured design wins totaling more than 1.6 billion euros in the quarter (approximately 2.5 billion euros in the first half of the year) and issued new senior bonds totaling 1 billion euros at 7.25%, thereby reducing annual interest expenses by approximately 40 million euros.
In the Digital Photonics segment, AMS Osram is working on RGB microLED arrays as light sources for next-generation augmented reality glasses and reports that it has reached milestones on the path to mass production. In addition, a micro-photodiode array for “slow & wide” optical interconnects in AI data centers has been launched. At the same time, the company is streamlining its portfolio: The non-optical sensor business was sold to Infineon, and the CMOS image sensor business was sold to Indie Semiconductor. For Q3/26, the company expects revenue of 770–870 million euros and an adjusted EBITDA margin of around 16%.
