Point Grey Celebrates 200 Employees Worldwide

12.01.2015 -

Point Greyannounced the hiring of its 200th employee, marking another important milestone in the company's growth. Since being founded in 1997 by graduates of the University of British Columbia, Point Grey has grown year-over-year -without any outside investment-to one of the world's leading manufacturers of advanced digital cameras.

"Reaching 200 full-time employees is a significant achievement for Point Grey and something we are all very proud of," says Rod Barman, President and one of the original founders at Point Grey. "It has been an amazing journey to see our company grow over the years from a tiny office in 1997 to an international organization with offices, distributors, and customers located around the world. In 2013 we expanded our Canadian headquarters based in Richmond, British Columbia, to meet the growing demand for our extensive product portfolio worldwide and to lay the foundation for continued growth in the future."

Point Grey offers a unique and comprehensive portfolio of USB3 Vision, GigE Vision, FireWire, USB 2.0 and Camera Link products known for their outstanding quality, ease of use, and unbeatable price-performance. A broad range of hardware, software and mechanical engineering skills under one roof has allowed Point Grey to successfully bring many innovative and ground-breaking products to market. This drive for innovation has led to many industry firsts, including the world's first and smallest 1394b digital camera, the smallest GigE camera, and the first USB 3.0 machine vision camera. Point Grey has wholly owned subsidiaries in the US, Germany, Italy, China and Japan.
