Hummel Expands Its Plant in Denzlingen with a Focus on Resource Efficiency
The company is planning a major plant expansion at its headquarters in Denzlingen and, following the completion of the planning phase, has submitted a building permit application

The investment volume amounts to approximately 35 million euros. The plan calls for two new buildings as well as equipping the entire plant with a system for recovering and recycling operating fluids. In this process, the lubricating and cooling oil used in metalworking will be recovered from the exhaust air, treated, and reused, resulting in annual savings of approximately 1,000 liters of lubricating oil.
One of the new facilities is scheduled to house an electroplating plant for nickel plating, complete with heat and wastewater recovery, starting in 2027. In addition, the turning and milling shops will be relocated from their current site in Waldkirch to Denzlingen to consolidate manufacturing at a modern production facility. Construction of the approximately 6,500 m² expansion is scheduled to begin in August 2026 and aims to strengthen the company’s production infrastructure and competitiveness in the long term.
