Fujitsu and AIST collaborate on quantum technologies

The aim is to strengthen Japan's international competitiveness in quantum technology

Fujitsu Limited and the Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI Technology (G-QuAT) of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) have agreed to collaborate to strengthen Japan's international competitiveness in quantum technology. The agreement, signed on September 26, 2025, aims to promote research and development cooperation through shared resources such as quantum computing technologies and manufacturing facilities. This should contribute to sustainable economic development.

The cooperation focuses on the integration and optimization of technologies for large-scale superconducting quantum computers. It will utilize G-QuAT's facilities and international networks to establish Japan's superiority in quantum computing technology and promote it globally to support international market expansion.
