Edmund Optics is now a global distributor for Richardson Gratings' optical gratings. A large selection of the planar and concave gratings are in stock at Edmund Optics for immediate shipment, the company added.

"We are pleased to be able to offer Edmund Optics customers a selection from Richardson Gratings," said Christopher Palmer, general manager of MKS Instruments' Optical Components Division, which includes Richardson Gratings. "This partnership will make our high-quality gratings easily accessible to engineers and scientists around the world."

Richardson Gratings is an industry-leading manufacturer of grooved and holographic diffraction gratings. The company was founded in 1947 and has become one of the leaders in grating design and manufacturing.  Richardson Gratings' planar and concave gratings are used in a wide variety of applications, including spectroscopy, telecommunications and teaching.
