In partnership with local distributer Optiger, Active Silicon is strengthening its presence in the Chinese machine vision market. The UK-based manufacturer of imaging products currently works with nearly a dozen trusted distributors in the Far East and even more worldwide.

The recent CIOE show offered an opportunity to view their products, and their demo of acquiring high-quality, real-time images from four cameras simultaneously using a single frame grabber created much interest amongst visitors. The event in Shenzhen on 4-7 September encompassed six sub-expos, covering all areas of optoelectronics, and an estimated 70,000 industry professionals from around the world attended. Active Silicon’s CoaXPress frame grabbers and Camera Link frame grabbers where on display at Optiger’s booth. The components support high-speed data acquisition for applications including industrial inspection, medical imaging and defense.

New manager for Asia Pacific

With the appointment of Active Silicon’s new Business Development Manager, Ye Liu, focusing solely on the Asia-Pacific region, the company expect to supply proven and reliable products to an even broader range of customers. Interested parties can view the range of frame grabbers, camera interface boards and embedded systems online or contact Active Silicon or a local distributor to discuss your requirements further.
