WDR Camera Powered By Pixim Seawolf Microchip

The video camera manufacturer Videology Imaging Solutions introduces a new camera board integrating Seawolf, the latest chip technology from Pixim. With the Seawolf design-in, there is no trade-off between wide dynamic range and low-light sensitivity. Videology's Pixim-powered cameras (models 20/21C40XW and 20/21C708W) preserves high-quality color images when recording and reviewing.

Customers choosing Videology's 1/3" Pixim-powered CMOS WDR camera will find:

  • OSD control board
  • A high quality wide dynamic range - to 120 dB
  • 690 TVL
  • Global shutter

Installers working in demanding environments will appreciate the cameras Push To Set White Balance. Additionally, while the cameras WDR default settings are generally ideal for all security applications, controls are easily accessible for scenes requiring specialized optimization.

"We had a customer with a specialized banking application requiring high functionality in very low-light," reports Bob Mansfield, Videologys principle engineer. "When designing the WDR board to their specifications, our engineers tested and ultimately selected the Pixim Seawolf microchip."

"We are very pleased with the boards performance, as is our initial customer," reports Carol Ethier, Videologys president and CEO. "We also recognize the cameras potential in the broader markets Videology serves, including retail, gaming, transit, and various industrial applications. We look forward to working with OEMs that have been looking for a high-performing, WDR board."

A housed version with various lens options is also available.
