Plug & Play Preprogrammed Vision System
Philips Applied Technologies is launching a new high-resolution, compact smart sensor system that is easy to install and operate: the Inspector 5111. It enables users to quickly set-up a product inspection without needing vision experience or programming skills. The PC is required for configuration only. The Inspector only needs to be plugged in after which the on-board software takes the user through five simple set-up sheets, multiple criteria finally result in a pass/fail result for the product. For the final verification result the Inspector will send a user defined output using I/O and a serial communication link. It is a small, preprogrammed, intelligent and fast digital camera. With a powerful CPU running at 143 MHz this smart camera is able to run vision applications stand alone without needing a PC.
