Lighting with more lumens and longer operating time

In the second innovation, it has been possible to double the luminous flux of the SMD white light sources to 1,000 lumens. This offers decisive advantages for applications in which the light is transmitted via a fiber: In medical endoscopes, the high luminous flux and small beam diameter mean that even thinner fibers can be used. In industrial endoscopes, the light can be transmitted over longer distances than before.

All SMD white light sources from Kyocera Laser are available from Laser Components on a 7×7 mm SMD package. To facilitate connection to the power source during testing and evaluation, they are also supplied with starboard and integrated safety functions upon request.
