Frequency converter with three-level technology

There are currently seven different versions of the SD2M available in the range from 75 HP to 400 HP or 165 A to 630 A rated current - including both models with water and air cooling.

What they all have in common is the innovative three-level technology, which, in combination with switching frequencies of up to 16 kHz, guarantees very good power quality. This prevents excessive heating of the rotor and reduces the load on the bearings and the stress on the insulation. When using the SD2M, the converter-related additional losses in the rotor are reduced by up to 90% compared to conventional solutions. In most cases this is sufficient to completely do without LC filters or motor chokes.
