Xilinx appoints Intel man as CFO

Xilinx appoints Brice Hill as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with immediate effect. The 53-year-old manager was previously with Intel for 25 years, most recently as CFO and COO of the Technology, Systems and Core Engineering Group.

Prior to this position, Hill was Corporate Vice President of Corporate Strategy for the Finance business unit, including the Data Center, PC and IoT business units. He also previously held senior finance roles in capacity strategy, PC desktop and chipsets, and data centers at Intel.

His knowledge of the data center, client computing and IoT industries fits perfectly with our data center growth strategy, our broad core markets and adaptive computing," said Victor Peng, president and chief executive officer of Xilinx.

Prior to Intel, Hill worked at General Motors Corporation where he held various financial positions. He holds an MBA in finance and strategy and a bachelor's degree in finance and economics.
