Topping-out ceremony for extension in Aurich
Nord Drivesystems celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the extension at the Aurich site on August 22, 2025.
Nord Electronic Drivesystems has been producing electronic drive components in Aurich since the 1980s. The new building on an 18,000 m² site expands production capacity by 5,000 m², including 8,600 m² for production and logistics areas and 1,400 m² for social and training rooms. Following the building application in March 2024, work began quickly. The foundations were completed by December and a new, larger nitrogen tank was installed.
The building shell has been making rapid progress since May. The topping-out ceremony marks an important milestone. Jörg Niermann, Head of Marketing at Nord, emphasized that the extension creates future-proof production conditions in order to meet the high demand and continue to guarantee short delivery times and high quality.
