The fourth edition of the Stemmer Imaging Imaging & Vision Handbook is now available in both print and digital in German and English. It combines about 460 pages of specialist knowledge of current technologies with product information from all areas of image processing. The reference work also includes chapters on image processing systems, lighting, optics, cameras, cables, image acquisition, software and image processing computers in the fourth edition. Each topic is initially treated in a detailed basic section, in which the respective basic knowledge is presented in a well-founded manner. Afterwards, the manual contains an overview of Stemmer Imaging's broad range of products in the respective division.

Users who want to find out about current technology topics in image processing, such as deep learning, embedded vision, the acceleration of algorithms through the use of graphics cards and many other trends, will find numerous clear explanations in the updated edition of the manual Graphics and texts.

In addition to the printed edition, Stemmer Imaging also provides electronic versions of the image processing manual. The app, called Vision Docs, is available for Android and iOS and provides easy and secure access to Stemmer Imaging documents and publications. A web version of the new manual is also available.

Further training in and enhancement of image processing expertise is a good opportunity for the Stemmer Imaging European Imaging Academy training courses and personal consultations with the company's expert.

This manual is a contribution by Stemmer Imaging to the goal of making the use of advanced image processing technologies as simple and accessible as possible. As technology advances rapidly in this area, the contents of the manual will be up to date by the end of 2020.
