Sphereoptics opens recalibration laboratory for light meters in Germany
Since the end of January, spectrometers, spectroradiometers, radiometers, photometers, luxmeters and UV measuring devices have been recalibrated at the Herrsching site for customers throughout Europe

Sphereoptics is expanding its service portfolio with its own recalibration laboratory for light measurement devices from its partner International Light Technologies. Since the end of January, spectrometers, spectroradiometers, radiometers, photometers, luxmeters and UV measuring devices have been recalibrated at the Herrsching site for customers throughout Europe. The work is carried out in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice and the original factory standards of International Light Technologies within the framework of ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
The laboratory is equipped with monochromators, UV, VIS and IR light sources, photodetectors, lamps, filters and reflectance standards. Reference devices are used exclusively for laboratory and comparison measurements to ensure accuracy and NIST traceability. The calibrations meet international quality requirements so that measurement data and certificates are recognized worldwide and can be used in demanding quality management systems. A specialized laboratory team performs the optical and electrical recalibrations.
