This strategic acquisition, backed by private equity fund Andera Partners, marks a decisive step in Spherea's global growth and innovation strategy. Averna, founded in Montreal in 1999, operates in 11 countries and is known for its expertise in automated test systems and quality control solutions. The acquisition strengthens Spherea's presence in North America and the Asia-Pacific region and expands its activities in Europe. The combined company will employ over 1,800 people in 13 countries and generate annual sales of over 305 million US dollars.

The integration of Averna enables strong synergies between Spherea's expertise in modular test systems and Averna's strengths in automation and data analytics. Patrice Bélie, CEO of Spherea, will lead the group, while François Rainville will serve as CEO of Averna and COO of the new group. The aim is to create the leading independent system integrator in the field of test and quality technology.
