Siemens joins the EDA Alliance program

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a founding member of the Intel Foundry Services (IFS) Accelerator EDA Alliance. This is a program to build an ecosystem for the design and manufacture of System-on-Chips (SoCs) manufactured by IFS.

The initiative encourages collaboration between IFS and its ecosystem partners. The focus is on reducing risk and breaking down design barriers while accelerating time to market for mutual customers' products. Partners in the IFS Accelerator EDA Alliance program get early access to Intel process and packaging technologies. In this way, they can jointly optimize and improve tools and processes in order to make the best possible use of Intel's technological possibilities.

The planned close cooperation between Siemens and IFS within the framework of this alliance serves to optimize the IC design tools, process flows and procedures for Intel's processes. The first Siemens EDA product lines to be certified by IFS include the industry-leading Caliber nm platform and the Analog FastSPICE (AFS) platform for nanometer-level circuit verification, high frequency, mixed-signal, memory, and custom digital circuits.
