RS Components supports Bad Hersfeld Festival

05.06.2024 - Distributor continues sponsorship

RS Components has declared its support for the 73rd Bad Hersfeld Festival in 2024. The company operates a distribution center at Eichhof Castle and supplies customers from there far beyond the German-speaking region. The distributor wants to show that it wants to be more than just a positive figurehead for Hesse's logistics region, but is also involved in sustainable projects in the ecological and cultural fields.

The Bad Hersfeld Festival, under the direction of Joern Hinkel, takes place every year in the summer months in and around the historic monastery ruins, in the middle of the beautiful and traditional half-timbered town of Bad Hersfeld in northern Hesse. The focus is on drama and musical performances.

The distribution center at Eichhof Castle is a state-of-the-art facility with a storage area of around 37,000 m². A new, modern warehouse management system with the most advanced inventory management processes is used here. This enables RS to offer very high service levels and great delivery reliability. With a powerful solar power system on the roof of the building at Eichhof, as well as with numerous other measures, RS takes ecological requirements into account in an exemplary manner. Bad Hersfeld is one of the global distribution centers in the RS supply chain network. The group employs more than 8,700 people worldwide and ships over 60,000 packages every working day.
