Precision in coordinate measuring technology at CEM
The Spanish Metrology Center (CEM) was the first Mitutoyo customer in Europe to put the LEGEX Takumi coordinate measuring machine (CMM) into operation

The CEM, a government institution under the Spanish Ministry of Economy, ensures metrological traceability in demanding industries such as aerospace, automotive and medical.
The LEGEX Takumi enables unattended measurements and offers benefits such as increased accuracy and full data traceability. The installation was carried out by teams from CEM, Mitutoyo and Sariki, focusing on climate control, leveling, calibration and training. Mitutoyo provides comprehensive technical support and training, allowing the CEM to continuously develop its metrological capabilities. This strengthens Spain's competitiveness in dimensional metrology.
