Physik Instrumente opens interface to science

The “Technology Hub”, which PI opened in Karlsruhe in mid-July, is intended to link the company more closely with science. This is why it is located near the KIT in Karlsruhe, among others.

Covering an area of 500 m², the Technology Hub offers space for ten employees from Physik Instrumente's research department as well as an additional ten places for more extensive project work, doctoral students and working students. The rooms in the Iwerkx on the Höpfner site include special laboratories for carrying out practical experiments. The proximity to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and other research institutions is intended to promote exchange and cooperation with them.

“The Technology Hub will combine the latest findings from basic research with decades of experience for practical applications in the global high-tech industry,” summarizes Salah Benamira, Senior Vice President Global Research at PI.
