Northwire Names Michael Conger President

Northwire, Technical Cable, has named Michael Conger the company's new president. He replaces Mark Kravik, who was president and owner since 1984 and is transitioning to chairman of the board.

Prior to joining Northwire, Conger served in senior management roles in the railway and truck manufacturing industry, with his most recent role as managing director in the transport sector for a € 18.7 billion French company headquartered in Paris.

"We are delighted that Mike has joined Northwire and are confident he has the skills to continue Northwire's industry leadership in service, speed, quality and product development into the future," says Mark Kravik, chairman of the board. "Mike's experience as a leader in growth-oriented environments will allow him to position Northwire for continued success - even during this challenging economy."

Conger holds a Master's of Science degree in organizational leadership and quality as well as a Bachelor's of Business Administration and Operations Management from Marian University, Fond du Lac, Wis. He is credentialed as a Six Sigma Black Belt, Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional, Lean Manufacturing Management Professional, American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Manager, American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector and by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Certified Level II Visual Testing (VT).
