Delta has opened its comprehensively modernized research and business center in Drammen, Norway. Designed to accommodate up to 210 employees, the facility incorporates Delta’s own energy-efficient technologies to meet the high demands of high-performance test laboratories. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50% compared to reference buildings.

As part of the opening, Delta Electronics Norway AS’s local subsidiary was renamed Eltek Norway AS to combine the local Eltek brand with Delta’s global resources. Technical measures include, among other things, power recovery from test benches, seven geothermal wells 290 m deep, a 170 kWp photovoltaic system, a proprietary energy monitoring system, and DC and AC charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The building also complies with the Well Building Standard, with a focus on indoor climate, lighting, and quality of stay.
