Marisa Edmund appointed as Director at Large at Optica

Marisa Edmund, Chair of the Board of Directors and CEO, has been appointed Director at Large of the Optica Board of Directors for the 2026-2028 term. Optica, formerly The Optical Society of America, is a global association for the advancement of optics and photonics. The Board is comprised of leaders from academia, industry and research who set the strategic direction of the organization. Edmund's appointment underscores her strategic vision and commitment to optical science and technology.

With over 27 years of experience at Edmund Optics, she has strengthened the company's global presence and fostered a culture of innovation. She emphasizes the importance of Optica to the optical industry and looks forward to helping shape the future of optics and photonics. In addition to her role at Optica, Edmund is a senior member of SPIE and is involved in various industry committees.
