Laser applications for battery and drive production
The third edition of the IPG Power Days E-Mobility Edition has established itself as a specialist platform for technical decision-makers from the automotive, e-mobility and battery production sectors

Specialists from production, process development and system integration discussed practical solutions for laser-based manufacturing processes at IPG's European Customer Center in Burbach.
The presentations focused on the challenges of welding battery components, process-critical requirements in cell assembly and laser technology for compact stator concepts. Other key topics included integrated vision and subsystem solutions for process stability and an LDD real-time laser welding measurement system for quality assurance in battery production.
In the afternoon, IPG presented live demonstrations of realistic process solutions in the 5000 m² Laser Application Center. The event emphasized the importance of direct exchange between users and technology providers. IPG Photonics will also be showcasing its e-mobility laser systems at the Battery Show Europe 2026 in Stuttgart.
