Keysight and Samsung want to work together on 6G

Keysight Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samsung Research to advance research and development in 6G technology.

The collaboration will accelerate the development of AI-powered air interfaces utilizing Massive MIMO (Massive Multiple Input Multiple Output) antenna technology. Such air interfaces support the establishment of energy-efficient and extremely dense networks that enable extremely low latency times and wireless data transmission in the terabit range.

Keysight has underlying technologies and key building blocks useful for making 6G a reality. These include network, channel and user equipment (UE) emulation, mmWave and sub-terahertz (THz) signal sources and analysis, as well as high-speed Ethernet network emulation and data center connectivity testing. Keysight's integrated software and hardware testing tools for end-to-end conformance, interoperability, performance and security validation enable Samsung to accurately and holistically study the margins of designs used for future 6G use cases .
