JVL Expands Its Portfolio of Integrated Motors for Industrial Automation
The company is introducing several innovations in the field of integrated drive technology

A compact 1,500-W servomotor for 48 VDC with integrated Industrial Ethernet and a self-powered absolute encoder eliminates the need for backup batteries and supports common Ethernet protocols. In addition, JVL offers a new integrated 400-W servomotor with up to 1.2 kW of peak power, as well as the MAC320 servomotor in Nema 23 size with 1 kW of peak torque and an STO function.
For the process industry, servostepper motors have been expanded to include 4–20 mA and 0–10 V analog outputs, enabling parallel Ethernet control and process feedback. A modular closed-loop solution consisting of an MSP stepper motor, PA0260 encoder, and SMC66 controller is designed for applications in harsh environmental conditions.
Other key areas include integrated IO-Link interfaces, the development of Profisafe functionality directly in the motor, and wireless Industrial Ethernet for Servostep drives. With integrated Ethernet switches, the high-performance Mac4500 drive (4.5 kW RMS), and a test box for service and development teams, JVL aims to reduce cabling, simplify commissioning, and improve energy efficiency.
