Imec and Zeiss have signed a renewed strategic partnership agreement that extends their collaboration until 2029. This partnership supports the further development of key semiconductor technologies, in particular high-NA EUV lithography, and contributes to Europe's technological sovereignty in line with the European Chips Act. Zeiss is investing in Imec's pilot line in Leuven, Belgium, providing access to advanced semiconductor technology for research and development.

The collaboration focuses on the development of more powerful and energy-efficient microchips, which are crucial for technologies such as artificial intelligence and autonomous driving. The partnership strengthens Europe's leading position in the semiconductor ecosystem and demonstrates the importance of cross-industry networking in the global semiconductor market.
