Hexagon Acquires Waygate
Waygate will become part of Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence business unit. Hexagon employs approximately 16,000 people in 50 countries and generates approximately 3.7 billion euros in revenue.

Hexagon has completed the acquisition of Waygate Technologies from Baker Hughes. The transaction had already been announced on April 13, 2026. Waygate has been part of Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence business unit since November 2.
With this acquisition, Hexagon is expanding its industrial metrology business to include technologies for non-destructive testing. While Hexagon primarily offers coordinate measuring machines, portable measuring systems, scanners, and metrology software, Waygate contributes methods for examining the internal structures and hard-to-reach areas of components.
Both companies serve, among others, the aerospace, automotive, and electronics industries. Waygate is also active in the battery, energy, and transportation sectors. Including its predecessor brands, the company has more than 130 years of experience in industrial testing technology.
For existing Waygate customers, little is expected to change initially. According to the company, ongoing projects, service contracts, and orders will continue as usual. Existing products, services, and points of contact will also remain in place.
