Guidance for Selecting Global-Shutter Sensors
Which sensor from the new IMX927 series is right for your application? A tech panel at Vision 2026 will explore selection, integration, and real-world experiences with Sony’s new global-shutter family.
The introduction of new image sensors often raises more questions in industrial image processing than a datasheet can answer. This is exactly where the Tech Panel “Inside Sony’s Latest Global Shutter” comes in; it will take place during Vision 2026 in Stuttgart and simultaneously online. The focus is on Sony’s new IMX927 series.
Unlike traditional product presentations, the event is designed as a technical decision-making workshop. Together with experts from Sony, Restar Framos, and camera manufacturers Baumer and Teledyne, participants will discuss which sensor variant is suitable for different applications and how this decision impacts the entire vision system.
The agenda includes, among other topics, the unique features of the new sensor family, selection criteria for specific applications, and questions regarding integration into complete machine vision solutions. In addition, early adopters will share their experiences with the new technology and its use in real-world projects.
At the end, participants will have the opportunity to discuss technical questions and integration challenges directly with the experts. Due to the open question-and-answer format, the event may run up to 15 minutes longer than scheduled.
The Tech Panel will take place on October 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. during Vision in Stuttgart and will also be streamed online. Participation is available upon prior registration.
