European Vision Technology Market Statistics 2010 published

The European Machine Vision Association has published its new market study. Data from over 190 companies in the European machine vision industry have been evaluated for the 2010 edition of this report. "The main difference from other surveys in the field is, that we do not only rely on desk research. Instead, data for our report has been primarily collected directly from the companies in a questionnaire-based survey, which is complemented by numerous interviews with experts across Europe", Gabriele Jansen, Member of the EMVA Executive Committee said.

Industry sales in the survey are broken down to regions, product types, applications, and customer industries. In addition to the European statistics, readers now find three country-specific reports covering machine vision in Germany, Italy and - for the first time - in the United Kingdom. Plus, the study shows current trends and developments and identifies growth opportunities for the machine vision industry, which makes the report a valuable basis for strategic decisions.

With the detailed explanations of technical terms and an introduction to machine vision technology, the survey does not only address enterprises in the machine vision industry. It can also serve as a valuable tool for stakeholders from industry related areas, such as financial institutions, the investment community, representatives of the regional, national and European legislature, as well as business planners and analysts. Industry outsiders and users of machine vision technology who wish to find out more about trends and developments benefit from clearly laid-out structure and the easy to understand language in the report.

The 6th edition of the European Vision Technology Markets Statistics 2010 can be obtained now directly from the EMVA.
