The 3,100-square-foot laser optics center Edmund Optics built at its Oldsmar, Florida, facility is focused on manufacturing optical components with high laser damage thresholds from the UV to the far IR.

In addition, this facility expands Edmund Optics' laser optics manufacturing capabilities in laser crystal and glass fabrication, polishing, metrology, inspection and testing, and employs approximately 50 people, many of whom are proven experts in laser optics.

"We are excited to significantly enhance our laser optics manufacturing capabilities and capacity with the new Florida facility," said Marisa Edmund, chief executive officer and chief marketing and sales officer at Edmund Optics.

Dr. Stefaan Vandendriessche, Head of Laser Optics at Edmund Optics, adds, "This new facility enables us to better support innovative applications through our expanded development, manufacturing, and assembly capabilities."
