Edmund Optics becomes global distributor for Everix ultra-thin filters

Edmund Optics now offers ultra-thin optical filters in cooperation with Everix. The optical component manufacturer and supplier is the exclusive global distributor for the ever-expanding product line and keeps the entire selection of ultra-thin filters in stock.

Everix manufactures ultra-thin optical filters consisting of heated and drawn layers of polymer materials. These ultra-thin (100 and 400 µm), highly flexible, filters are scratch-resistant, shatterproof, and can be cut with scissors, knives, and/or lasers.

Standard versions available include dichroic short-pass and long-pass filters, as well as notch and band-pass filters. The products are suitable for many applications, such as augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Customized versions and OEM quantities are also available.
