Control 2027 Puts the Spotlight on AI and Automated Quality Assurance
The 38th Control will take place in Stuttgart from May 11 to 14, 2027. The event will focus on networked quality data, closed-loop manufacturing, computed tomography, and AI.

Control returns to Stuttgart from May 11 to 14, 2027. The 38th edition of the trade fair for quality assurance will showcase the latest developments in measurement and testing technology as well as quality management. The event takes place every two years.
A key focus will be on the greater integration of quality assurance into production. Announced topics include automated measurement technology, closed-loop manufacturing, and the networking of quality data along the value chain. This is intended to enable measurement results to feed directly back into production processes. Artificial intelligence is also expected to play a greater role. Planned applications include those that structure information, identify patterns in quality data, or support root cause analysis. In addition, there will be software solutions for operational and strategic quality management. On the hardware side, the program includes new developments in optical coordinate measurement technology and X-ray computed tomography, among other things. Other topics include the automation and process integration of inspection and measurement tasks. The exhibition will be complemented by a lecture forum and a new edition of the “Control Quality Talk,” which was launched in 2025. The organizer has not yet provided specific figures on the current booking status or the expected number of exhibitors and visitors.
The next Control will thus take place in Stuttgart as an in-person trade show again following the 2025 edition. Additionally, the “Control Expert Days,” which complement the trade show, have been announced once more for 2028.
