Basler AG: Change in the Management Board and new CTO position
Long-time CEO Dr. Dietmar Ley will leave the Executive Board at the end of 2025





Basler AG is facing a change in management. The long-standing CEO Dr. Dietmar Ley will leave the Management Board at the end of 2025, but will remain associated with the company in an advisory capacity and could join the Supervisory Board. Hardy Mehl, former CCO/COO and with the company since 1999, will take on the role of CEO. He will be responsible for Sales, Operations, Human Resources and Investor Relations. As CFO, Ines Brückel will remain responsible for Finance, Controlling, Legal and Compliance.
New to the Management Board is Dr. Kai Jens Ströder, who will fill the new CTO position from January 2026. Ströder brings extensive experience from his work at Carl Zeiss AG and tooz technologies GmbH and will head the Product Generation and Innovation divisions. Founder Norbert Basler acknowledges Ley's contribution to the company's development and sees the company in experienced hands.
