Avnet Silica adds Alvium cameras to its portfolio

The EMEA-wide partnership with Allied Vision expands the company's offering of embedded vision solutions

Allied Vision and Avnet Silica have agreed to strengthen their collaboration. Avnet Silica will add Allied Vision to its product range as an EMEA-wide franchise. The agreement provides customers with complementary support for diverse needs, from optics to cameras to image processing on embedded SoCs, from Avnet Silica's EMEA software and services team.

With its modular design, the Alvium platform offers a wide range of interfaces such as MIPI CSI-2 and GMSL2, sensors, spectral sensitivities, resolutions, packaging and mounting options, as well as a driver API. The right integrated embedded vision solution can now be developed quickly and easily for almost every customer requirement for applications in the areas of industrial automation, medical technology, logistics, robotics and food & beverage. It enables Avnet Silica customers to take advantage of short lead times and quickly meet market requirements by offering a variety of image sensors.
