Angst+Pfister enters into partnership with Nordic Inertial

Angst+Pfister and signs a partnership with Finland-based software expert Nordic Inertial (NI).

“With Nordic we have gained a partner who has been active in the field of sensor technology for mobile systems in the off-road, CAV and automotive sectors for many years. As a result, we can now offer our customers comprehensive support for their projects. This ranges from connecting sensors to a network through to licenses that can be purchased from an existing software library,” says Thomas Röttinger, CEO Angst+Pfister Sensors and Power.

In order to be able to show the performance of the software and the Murata sensors, Angst+Pfister is offering an “open IMU” (Move IT!) together with Nordic Inertial. With the integrated 32-bit µprocessor, the sensors can be selected and compared depending on the requirements (static, dynamic).

The software from Nordic Inertial ranges from simple additional calibration to the output of Euler angles in OpenCAN. Since this development environment is "open", software and hardware can be transferred to the target system. “We see very often that customers have to change the software environment and the supplier because of important product features of a single sensor product. Unfortunately, a lot of knowledge is lost as a result, which can in principle be avoided. This is exactly where we come in and support customers with their developments,"

“This new partnership allows us to focus on further developing our software. With Angst+Pfister we have found the right partner for this important task and will therefore be exhibiting at Sensor+Test," says Jussi Collin, CEO and founder of Nordic Inertial.
