Ametek acquires Virtek

Ametek has announced the acquisition of Virtek Vision International, a provider of laser-based projection and inspection systems

Virtek develops advanced 3D laser projectors, smart cameras and quality control systems supported by AI-driven software. These technologies help automate complex assembly processes and improve production efficiency in various industries such as aerospace, defense and industrial.

David A. Zapico, Chairman and CEO of Ametek, emphasized that Virtek is a good strategic fit with the Creaform business and expands Ametek's 3D scanning and inspection capabilities. Virtek is headquartered in Waterloo, Canada and has annual revenue of approximately $40 million. The company will become part of Ametek's Electronic Instruments Group (EIG), a leading provider of analytical, monitoring, testing, calibration and display instruments.
