AMA Innovation Prize 2022 awarded to technology platform

On May 10, the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement (AMA) awarded the winning team the AMA Innovation Prize at the Sensor+Test 2022 in Nuremberg.

The development team of the technology platform for NDIR gas sensors, a joint project of the companies Micro-Hybrid Electronic, the CIS Research Institute for Microsensors, Siegert Thin Film Technology and 5microns, was delighted with the prize money of 10,000 euros.

The technology platform for highly reliable NDIR gas sensors is an innovative gas sensor system with a new type of spectrally broadband infrared (IR) emitter. The development combines technologies from MEMS chips to modules for gas sensors with special long-term stability even under extreme environmental conditions. The patented design was praised by the jury as an innovation driver for new cross-industry gas measurement applications.
