AIT acquires the Solution Division of SAC
With the acquisition of the solutions division of SAC Sirius Advanced Cybernetics, AIT Goehner strengthens its vision domain.
After Cognex acquired SAC, the solution division was spun off. AIT Goehner - system integrator for image processing and AutoID - has now taken over the solution area.
"This creates a huge opportunity for us and our customers," says Michael Gauch, Managing Director at AIT. "SAC's core competence lies in surface inspection, which we are now integrating at AIT and thus further expanding our solution portfolio."
The two companies have already been working closely together for several years and were able to develop a joint image processing concept with SCI Smart Cell Inspection, for example.
In order to enable seamless project continuation, AIT Goehner will retain the Karlsruhe location. A large part of the staff will be taken over. Sebastian Grimm will be the new site manager.
