Advantech receives AS9100 certification for aerospace

Advantech has received AS9100 certification for its manufacturing center in Taiwan. This certification, based on ISO 9001, improves manufacturing quality through full document traceability, rigorous risk assessment and controlled change management. It is specifically designed for aerospace and defense applications with long product life cycles. AS9100 provides full traceability and requires strict configuration and change controls to ensure near error-free results.

The standard increases efficiency, reduces error rates and facilitates integration into international supply chains. Advantech has implemented AS9100 in its production lines, including the COM Express Compact Type 6 SOM-6884 A2. Further certified products will follow.
