The P1PY21x series comprises time-of-flight sensors that operate with blue lasers and are designed for use in demanding environmental conditions. Due to its shorter wavelength, blue laser light penetrates less deeply into object surfaces. This allows dark, shiny, organic, and (semi-)transparent materials to be detected more reliably.

An integrated special filter reduces interference from highly emissive objects such as heated metals and supports reliable detection in industrial applications. These technical features enable the use of wintec with blue light in complex applications.
