VOC+NOx sensor for monitoring indoor air quality

With two complete sensor solutions on a single chip, the SGP41 simplifies design-in and significantly reduces integration costs. Through the use of Sensirion's tried-and-tested MOXSens(R) technology, the unsurpassed robustness of the sensor to contamination by siloxanes leads to excellent long-term stability in terms of sensitivity and response time. The two sensor signals, which are processed by Sensirion's gas index algorithm, enable air handling units to be switched on automatically.

This eliminates indoor air pollutants without requiring any interaction between the user and the device. This sensor solution is therefore suitable for the constant monitoring of the VOC and NOx situation, including potentially harmful events that are not perceived by humans. In addition, automated control of the air handling units using the SGP41 sensor signals helps save energy by shutting down the units once the VOC or NOx pollutants have been eliminated.
