Vision 2021: Smart camera and lighting unit in one system

The use of a single, fully calibrated system for lighting and image processing in the inspection enables particularly fast integration, since there is no need to configure separate hardware and software components. When used in different lines, the results can be compared directly with one another and the parameters can be optimized. In addition, the time required for format changes is reduced, as the camera and lighting do not have to be coordinated again.

SmartSpect / eLED is designed for a variety of applications in industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical technology, cosmetics, food and FMCG. Among other things, the combined camera lighting system checks the completeness of the packaging, recognizes bar and 2D codes and uses text recognition to read out poorly printed or deformed codes. The system also controls UV-active labels. An external control is not required as all applications are programmed.
