Vision 2021: Smallest CMOS sensors with global shutter

Photo

The Topaz sensors are housed in a 4.45 mm wide chip scale package (CSP) and feature an optical array center that exactly matches the mechanical center of the package, enabling a slim camera design. This makes them particularly suitable for miniature OEM barcode reader design, for mobile terminals and barcode readers for smartphones, IoT, contactless authentication systems, wearable devices, drones and robotics applications.

Their 1/3" optical format enables 2.5-µm global shutter pixels that use in-pixel CDS (correlated double sampling) and dual optical fibers to achieve good signal-to-noise ratio, enabling low crosstalk and crisp images even in low-light conditions.
