Thumb Sized Miniature Spectrometer

With its extremely small package size of 28 mm x 17 mm x 13 mm and a weight of only about 9 g the C10988MA suits especially for integration into compact optical sensing equipment. Based on a high level of integration, the number of optical components is kept to a minimum – and thus, costs are minimized as well. Only a concave grating with very short focal length which is replicated onto the top of convex glass lens using nanoimprint technology and a dedicated CMOS image sensor build the complete spectrometer. The C10988MA covers a spectral range from 340 nm to 750 nm.
