Smart cobot with plastic parts

All of the mechanical components that make up the Rebel are exclusively developed and manufactured by igus. Its payload is 2 kilograms and it has a range of 664 millimeters. The repeat accuracy is +/- 1 millimeter at 7 picks per minute.

The Rebel is available in two versions: one as an open source version without robot control. In accordance with the igus "build or buy" approach, customers can choose not only the complete system but also the individual strain wave gears with diameters of 80 and 105 millimeters. The torque is 3 Nm (80) or 25 Nm (105) at 6 RPM, with a ratio of 50:1. The Rebel is available on the online marketplace RBTX. Here, users will find individual components, integration support as well as hardware and software from more than 40 partners - in the knowledge that everything is 100 percent compatible with each other; including robot kinematics, cameras, software, grippers, power electronics, motors, sensors and controls.
